Where is the symbian store?
So I’ve had a Nokia E51 for less then a week, and all I can say is:
“Where is the symbian store ?”
Compared to the Apple Store where I can get tons of applications for my iPod Touch, or the recently announced store announced by google for TMobile’s G1 Phone announced today, the symbian platform definitely lacks a centralized gathering point for all the software available out there.
For a newcomer such as myself, the task of find applications that fit our needs is too high when compared with the competition, and I don’t think of my self as a tech savvy person…
And then again there is something called MOSH, a sad excuse for a community based store that would do better for nokia if it was actually not maintained by the community.

There is a Symbian Software repository -> http://www.s60.com
btw, the internet is also a good repository
. Most applications for my N70 that i use, where simply downloaded and installed using the Nokia Suit installer program or trough jar files that i placed in the memory card. Games, SNES and Game Gear Emulators, Money tracker (this is important so that i can control the money i spend every month), MSN, Smart Movie player, Virtual Radio Player, Frozen Bubble (what an addiction this one is!).
oh well, there’s lots of stuff out there for S60
Unfortunately internet via UMTS is still very expensive so i don’t even dare to use it a lot… maybe just to check if someone is online in msn…
Cheers!
