iPhone viral ad in IETF ?!

My friend Alfredo was reading a recent IETF draft on Locator/ID Separation Protocol (LISP) when suddenly we noticed an interesting phrase out of the blue:

in line 820: “Going to buy an iPhone?”

But it was not all, afterwards I run a search in the document and found in the definition of “End-System”:

in line 325: “An iPhone”

Well this is interesting, specially because the draft is from CISCO. Start you conspiracy theories!

Vitor Jesus (a friend) just decided to take the next step and sent an email inquiring the authors on this matter.

Here is the answer to the question “Would you be so kind to satisfy my curiosity and elaborate on the
relation between the iPhone, IETF and IP mobility? :-)”

Authors reply:
“the relationship has to do with the diligence of the careful readers
in our intended audience :-) Wish we had a prize for you, other than the satisfaction of being the
first to respond.”
